Let’s gently explore a simplified timeline of the events that lead to today’s Florida Native Plants.
About this Event

Over millions of years Florida’s geology and plant communities have undergone a myriad of changes. Driven by evolution, continental drift, ice ages and many more environmental pressures, today’s native plant communities are just a snapshot of the rich diversity spanning millennia. Let’s gently explore a simplified timeline of the events that lead to today’s Florida Native Plants.
Presented by James Stevenson, Education and Outreach Supervisor

Recommended for adults and youth over 12.

Additional Notes: It takes about 10 minutes to drive from the preserve entrance (Keystone Rd.) to the parking lot, and there is a 2-5 minute walk from the parking lot to the Education Center buildings. This program will be held in the auditorium.
