About your instructor: Sharon Burrows is a local Whitecourt artist and the proud four-time winner of the Canadian Choice Awards, including Paint Party Services in 2025. She is a creative fine artist who has been painting only since 2013. Her work ranges from watercolor, alcohol ink, encaustics to her favorite and most used medium, oil. A self-confessed “creatisan”, Sharon has been creating since she was old enough to hold a paintbrush and started sewing at the age of five. Working from her home studio, she can turn her hands to anything from painting with various mediums, crocheting, knitting, macrame, sewing, jewelry making, rug looming, candle making, beeswax food wraps, weaving, and everything in between. Passionate about the power art possesses has taken her to experience painting and studying many of the master’s paintings and brushstrokes at some of the world's foremost galleries as far as Buenos Aires, Argentina and across the sea to Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria.
