About this Event
Join us for our first beer school class of 2022! We are kicking things off with Beer Ingredients and the Brewing Process.
This class will focus on the basic building blocks of understanding beers styles: ingredients and how they are used in the brewing process. For each ingredient, we will explore a little of its history in brewing, how it is cultivated and prepared for brewing, how it is used in the brewing process, the flavors and other attributes it brings to the finished beer, and how brewers use these basic ingredients and process to create the wide ranging styles seen in your favorite breweries, bars, and stores.
The class is $25 to attend and includes educational presentation, handouts, and a beer tasting. All attendees must be 21+ years old to attend. This class is led by Alewife Co-Owner Kelly Pickard, Certified Cicerone®.
