Beer For Bombs - Jacksonville Can Release Party

The day Russia invaded Ukraine, Pravda Brewery in the city of Lviv stopped making beer – and started making Molotov cocktails…
Then the owners posted their beer recipes on the internet and begged other craft breweries around the world: Brew one to raise money and awareness. We took up that challenge, with two differences…
Awareness: We partnered with leaders from the nation’s largest journalism organization to honor the seven (and sadly counting) journalists slain while covering this awful war.
Money: While humanitarian aid flows into the country, we’re sending proceeds back to Pravda so they can make more Molotov cocktails – or any other weapons they want to make or buy. If you K*ll the people killing you, you don’t need food and bandages. (So far, Pravda has told us they’ve used similar donations to pay for drones, med packs, rifle scopes, and tactical gear.)
Now that the beer — brewed by 26 Degree in Pompano, FL — has been released, we're taking it on the road.
Join us Saturday, May 25 to try Beer for Bombs, based on Pravda Brewery’s Ukrainian Imperial Stout. It’s an intensely dark, complex stout ale, with rich dark malty flavor and notes of roastiness, chocolate, and coffee. The finish is both sweet and dry with a full-bodied, velvety smooth mouthfeel.
Cost: $7 to drink a 16-ounce can onsite, $5 per can to go and $18 for a four-pack
Alewife and BrowardBeer.com will host a stout-style tutorial, and you can enjoy traditional Ukrainian snacks from Odessa Slava in Five Points.
Buy a Beer For Bombs T-shirts for $20 each, while supplies last. ALL proceeds go back to Pravda Brewery in Lviv, Ukraine.
