On Wednesday January 14, Bierock is hosting Beer Bingo featuring Surly Brewing Company.Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts roughly two hours.
It’s free to play. Customers will receive a bingo card, good for several rounds. Prizes include various beer-related giveaways, brewery SWAG, free pours and other esoteric awards like B-movie DVDs and erotic novels.
A representative from Surly will be on hand to hand out samples, answer questions and socialize during the event.
Featured on Jan. 14 will be at least five beers on tap, including a seasonal offering. But we’ll make sure to have something hoppy, something light, something dark and something malty.
Here’s the lineup and brewery descriptions for what we know what will be on tap…
Winterize, Winter Lager—Winterize is an amber-hued winter lager with toasty notes of biscuit and caramel. From the beauty of the first snowfall to the towering mountain of April parking lot sludge, it’s a full-flavored celebration of our home state’s longest season.
Mosh Pit Hazy, Hazy IPA—A tropical fruit hop bouquet with an electric pineapple note welcomes you to the Mosh Pit. Juicy without being cloying, hazy without being murky, our flagship hazy IPA is always worthy of an encore.
Abrasive, Double IPA—A massive dose of Citra hops launches our legendary double IPA (Minnesota’s first, and a nod to our abrasives factory origin) into the hophead stratosphere.
Furious, IPA—The beer that built Surly. Aggressively hopped and citrusy, but with a chewy, caramel backbone. Surly is called “Surly” due to our inability to find a good beer in town. Furious is one of the first beers we brewed to rectify that situation. The rest is history.
This Beer is Niiice, Golden Ale—Balanced and approachable, not too hoppy, not too bland, this refreshing ale isn’t just nice, it’s NIIICE! If you want to call it a beer-flavored beer, go right ahead.
And in recognition of Dry January, we’ll also have cans of the non-alcoholic Outlook Good Oatmeal Brown available as well.
Beer Bingo takes place the second Wednesday of every month at Bierock as part of our Hump Day at Bierock series of events. Here’s the schedule…
