Beer & Philosophy (+ Brewery Tour)
Hi All,
We're kicking off the return of our Negative Space philosophy events on July 29th.
If this is your first time, welcome! At our bi-weekly gatherings we have conversations around various philosophical topics or questions. The questions or topics are proposed by one of the members who will usually introduce the topic followed by a discussion that will last no more than an hour. After the hour, who knows what might happen.
We normally begin at 6pm, but this time around if you show up at 5:30pm, the brewer at Hogshead (Robert) will be hosting a tour & flight tasting for our group. Hogshead is is a very unique brewery in Colorado. They are one of the only breweries that brews cask ales which are delicious and very quaffable. Hogshead has been our meeting ground for almost a year now. If you have an interest in learning more about cask ale brewing and trying out a few different kinds of beer before the philosophy event this is for you. The philosophy event beginning at 6pm free, but this brewery tour + flight is $14 to cover the beer cost. If we don't have a critical mass for the brewery tour, we might cancel as Robert is a busy guy and he kindly agreed to doing this for us. Let me know if you are attending the tour & tasting either by comment or message.
Nick, Negative Space's resident Nietzschean, will be posing the topic for us, and it will be related to the intersections of beer and philosophy. I will post the topic soon as the event gets closer.

I'll also give an update as to some projects in the works including:
Bi-Monthly philosophical cabaret nights, which will be a different style of event at different venue, a philosophical magazine publication called Intervals, as well as the next seminar which will be a joint effort amongst a few different presenters titled, The Problem of Evil. This seminar will most likely take place in September and October.
