We are back with August Beer and Barrel after taking a short break during our 5th Year Anniversary Month. Featuring a Midwest brewery coming with some heat on this offering, Rested Reserve from Boulevard. A well thought out and executed double barrel aged wheated imperial stout that spent time on both bourbon and rye barrels to bring all sides of the spectrum into play.
Pulling this one from our personal cellar here at Heights we have aged it in the cooler an additional year to make sure it pours and tastes as smooth as it sounds with that wheat base being the star.
A few different whiskey options for this night inlcude: Woodford, FEW Bourbon, and Heaven Hill. So that your pick, grab a glass of what sounds best and relax as we toast the last bits of summer away.
