Beekeeping for Beginners

Learn about the fascinating lives of honeybee colonies and their inhabitants. Find out about the equipment and site(s) needed to get started with your own adventure with these stinging insects that produce delicious honey & useful beeswax!
In addition, local "Belle Isle Wildflower Honey" will be offered to sample. A limited supply will be available for purchase. (Cash only)
Advanced registration includes admission to the beautiful gardens before or after class.
Christopher Stalder is a graduate of the University of Florida and has worked with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. He is also an environmental scientist, a butterfly gardener, a backyard beekeeper and a member of the Florida State Beekeepers Association. He offers natural history programs around the state on many subjects including herpetology, butterfly gardening and beekeeping.
Participants must withdraw from classes at least 5 days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund. Eventbrite fees are non refundable. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund .
Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
