Are you interested in beekeeping? Join us for a FREE Full-Day Beekeeping Short Course on February 28 from 8:30am-4pm, hosted by our local Beekeeping Association! Whether you're a complete beginner, in your first years of beekeeping, or just curious about starting, this course is for you.The course will introduce you to the basics of beekeeping, including what you need to get started and key considerations to keep in mind as you begin your beekeeping journey. You'll also have the chance to win prizes through our raffle, explore products from local beekeeping vendors, and enjoy food and fun with fellow attendees.
After the course, the New Beekeeper Grant will open for applications. If you're a new beekeeper and a resident of Tennessee, this grant can help you get started with your own hive. To qualify for the grant, you must be new to beekeeping, attend and complete the beekeeping 101 short course, participate in hands-on field days, and be ready to start beekeeping in the spring.
