About this Event
Borscht, beet soup, is often associated with Eastern European cuisine. However, it is also popular in Finnish cooking, especially in the Karelian region. In reality, borscht is beloved wherever there are biting winds and root vegetables.
Teena's version is particularly hearty and sustaining. Join us and learn how to cook with beets (and to clean up from their colorful mess), and what are suggested acompaniments.
The class is primarily demonstration with the class sharing a lightt meal of soup and bread at the end. And be ready for a short Nordic trivia contest!
Teena is the owner of Anoka Meats and Sausage and a frequent guest on Twin Cities morning shows. She teaches regularly at Norway House.
