On Saturday November 23rd, BedfordBID collaborates with Bedford Borough Council to bring you Bedford Town Centre Christmas Lights Switch On!
Make an afternoon of it and enjoy the family festivities on offer from 12noon. FREE Crazy Golf takes place on Silver Square with fun and laughs for all. And everybody say ‘cheese’! Head to the Christmas Photo Booth in Harpur Square where you can have a FREE photo of your group or family.
Remember to keep a look out for Santa! The jolly man himself will make an appearance in the Harpur Centre!
And from 12noon the Love Bedford Stage in Harpur Square will also come alive, with a superb selection of live performances from local bands, singers, school choirs and dancers.
At 4pm the wonderful songstress Lissie Allsopp takes to the stage with a collection of Christmas favourites to get us all in the festive mood.
At 5pm it’s time for Mayor Tom Wootton to press the button and illuminate Bedford. Lissie then leads us in a sing-along to some favourite Christmas tunes. And to keep the party going, local radio presenter Steven Gordon-Wilson takes over to spin some classic Christmas tunes to get you “rockin’ around the Christmas tree”!
Refreshments will be available on Harpur Square, and there will be offers and discounts for you to enjoy at our town centre establishments. Plus a one-day-only special discount on Snow White panto tickets, which will be revealed on the day!
