Bede Trio (Double Bass, Michael Dunlop; Piano, Finn Carter; Alto Sax, Albert Hills Wright) formed in 2022 to bring the bassist’s compositions to life with exposed small group instrumentation. Taking inspiration from old melodies and jazz in the Nordic countries, they perform sweet and intimate original compositions, alongside reimagined Northumbrian folk songs. The three met while playing in different groups in London, where both Finn and Albert also lead their own projects. This will be their debut North East gig together, following their recent album recording in the region.
