About this Event

BNS Productions, Charlotte's only Black Repertory Theatre Company, presents BECOMING...Character Development in Theatre. As a stellar performance starts with transformation, BECOMING… participants will explore the art and psychology of character development in theatre then create rich, layered portrayals from the inside out. Employing scenes from African-American dramatic literature and contemporary works, BECOMING… dives into script analysis, physical and emotional embodiment and backstory development. Using guided exercises and partner work, artists will explore how to authentically inhabit characters and bring authenticity to every line, every moment, and every movement. SPACE IS LIMITED.
