About this Event
"Becoming More” combines storytelling with music and interpretive dance to tell Stephen Emberley's compelling journey as a transgender, Two Spirit person. Each vignette demonstrates a shared humanity and hope for a better future by asking the question: "Is it possible to transform our darkness into light?" "Becoming More" seeks to use the medium of the performing arts to create community, conversation, and healing.
“Survey statistics show that understanding accurate scientific facts and knowing a transgender person lead people to be more open and affirming. “Becoming More” will let people see a transgender, Two Spirit person’s journey in a way that may be easier to grasp than lectures or training.
