Becoming FiERCE - A High School Professional Development Workshop

Boys and girls in grades 9-12 are invited to 'Becoming FiERCE' - a High School Professional Development Workshop. This workshop will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10:00AM-12:30PM on at Benedum (3700 O'Hara St Pittsburgh, PA 15213).

This program aims to help high school students interested in STEM improve their resume, elevator pitch and networking skills. During the program, students will learn how to make their resume and elevator pitches stand out to colleges and employers by receiving templates and participating in exercises. They will also learn the importance of networking and about professional development in college by participating in speed networking with Pitt engineers!

In addition to this professional development workshop, all high school workshop attendees are invited to attend University of Pittsburgh's Society of Women Engineers annual FiERCE Forum (Females in Engineering Reaching Career Empowerment) on Sunday, March 30th. Attendees will get to network with peers, engineering students, and industry professionals alongside participating in empowering professional development activities.
