BECOMING A PORTAL
Diving into the pelvis and finding the earth, we will transform our bodies into portals. We will explore the power of the Berber pelvis, learn the rhythms of the Gnawa people, practice circles, rotations and ceremonies of the Sufi order in Morocco, while playing krakebs and sagats, and practicing Moroccan singing. Excerpts from the choreographic work Swiria will be used.

"Pelvic Portal" is a unique practice method developed by teacher, dancer and choreographer Orly Portal. It is the result of many years of in-depth research into pelvic movement and its mysteries, inspired by ancient traditions and modern discoveries. Many cultures reside in the pelvis in all shades and shapes. We'll call them passions. The "Way of the Wisdom of the Pelvis" travels worldwide throughout civilizations and disciplines, eventually settling into its secure haven. "Here and now" is at its most vibrant. Gravity and weight. Movement via listening and deep study of physical reality. Skeleton organization and the essential tone, all contribute to spontaneous movement and optimum energy. It‘s like deep Zen work that changes consciousness and lives.

DIVENTARE UN PORTALE
Immergendosi nel bacino e ritrovando la terra, trasformeremo i nostri corpi in portali. Esploreremo il potere del bacino berbero, impareremo i ritmi del popolo Gnawa, praticheremo i cerchi, le rotazioni e le cerimonie dell'ordine Sufi in Marocco, suonando krakeb e sagat e praticando il canto marocchino. Saranno utilizzati estratti dell'opera coreografica Swiria.

Il "Pelvic Portal" è un metodo di pratica unico sviluppato dall'insegnante, danzatrice e coreografa Orly Portal. È il risultato di molti anni di ricerche approfondite sul movimento pelvico e sui suoi misteri, ispirate da antiche tradizioni e moderne scoperte. Molte culture risiedono nel bacino. Le chiameremo passioni. La "Via della saggezza del bacino" viaggia in tutto il mondo attraverso le civiltà e le discipline, per poi stabilirsi nel suo rifugio sicuro. Il "qui e ora" è al massimo della sua vitalità. Gravità e peso. Il movimento attraverso l'ascolto e lo studio profondo della realtà fisica.
