Format:
The tournament will use the new edition of the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game, released in December 2024.
Teams of 3 players will participate at the event. During each round, teams will be matched against each other and play three 1v1 games. Before the games begin, teams will secretly decide which team member is playing which scenario while their opponents do the same. Round results are based off of the team performance (i.e. your team must win 2 of the 3 games to log a win for that round. Draws count as half of a win.)
Points:
700 points per list, three lists per team (players are not allowed to switch armies amongst team members between rounds)
Army Selections:
Players will be allowed to bring any profiles and lists released as part of the released books and supplements, including:
- Armies of the Lord of the Rings
- Armies of the Hobbit
- Armies of Arnor and Angmar
One model is banned: Smaug is banned and is not allowed to be brought.
Teams may NOT duplicate army lists across the members of the team; each army list can only appear once (so two people cannot run Minas Morgul, for example).
Teams may NOT duplicate named heroes across multiple lists, including different versions of the same hero. For example, if Player A is running Atop the Walls with Gandalf the White, Player B cannot run The White Council and include Gandalf the Grey. For a complete list of duplicated characters across profiles, refer to the tournament packet (coming soon).
