About Featured Speaker:
Malte pronounced Mal-tah (like the country), is originally Danish but considers himself “nearly native” to Colorado, having moved there in the mid-90s. Malte currently serves as a Startup Banker at J.P. Morgan Chase on their Innovation Economy team where he works directly with pre-seed and seed stage companies throughout the intermountain region. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Malte served as the Managing Director for the Techstars Boulder Accelerator, where he was a pre-seed Investor, Startup Mentor, and Operator. He has held various roles across the Techstars ecosystem in Colorado in addition to launching the Techstars Miami Accelerator powered by JP Morgan in 2022. During his time at Techstars, he built a portfolio of 95 companies and worked closely with over 200 founders across the Americas, Latin America, Europe, and Africa. He also served as a Director of Colorado’s Seed Angel Forum, a nonprofit connecting investors with pre-seed and seed-stage founders through quarterly pitch events. In his free time, Malte loves spending time keeping up with his two boys, Sebastian (4) and Kasper (2), and his wife, Emily. He’s an avid hiker, runner, skier, and backcountry snowboarder
