About this Event
Our Speaker:
Dr Darren Tansley is a conservationist whose projects range from tackling the issues of fish migration, to natural flood management and the reintroduction of species such as water vole and beaver. With a passion for mammals he was a founder member of the Essex and Suffolk Dormouse Group, co-authored the latest Essex Mammal Atlas and has delivered tracks and signs training courses to hundreds of professionals and amateurs alike through his work at the Field Studies Council and The Wildlife Trusts. Connecting habitats at a landscape scale is the main goal of his work as Wilder Rivers and Protected Species Manager at Essex Wildlife Trust but he also works at a National scale as Chairman of the UK Water Vole Steering Group. He shares his love of the natural world through walks, talks, podcasts and media and is passionate about the involvement of Citizen Scientists in delivering real change at a landscape scale.
