Spend a morning on bikes with SVBC and the office of Otto Lee as we beautify the Alviso area in advance of Day on the Bay!Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and Santa Clara County Supervisor Otto Lee invite you to a creek cleanup bike ride to "Beautify the Bay" in advance of our annual "Bike to the Bay" event!
This unique event will take us from central San José at 70 W. Hedding St. into Alviso, with a 45-minute stop to help out our environment by removing litter from our waterways.
Bring your bike, closed-toed shoes, clothes that can get a bit dirty, and, if you're able: a bike trailer !!
Here's the gameplan:
-Meetup at 9:30 AM
-Rollout at 10:00 AM
-Part of this event will include helping clean up a segment of the Guadalupe River Trail. Let's have a beautiful Bay Trail for our October 13th Bike to the Bay ride!
-Our route will be up to 16 miles long, and will primarily be along comfortable, car-free trails. Kids, families, and pets welcome!
Interested in volunteering to help make this ride happen? When you get your ticket, register as a Volunteer Ride Leader to wear a vest, ride as a middle support or a sweep, and be trained in Ride Leadership. Volunteer Ride Leaders are expected to arrive no later than 9:15 AM
