Multi-Flutist Pamela Whitman transports audiences on a journey of the heart with her collection of rare flutes from around the world. Beautiful Journey is Pamela Whitman at her best – soaring, original interpretations of flute songs culled from the artist’s world travel adventures. Pamela uses digital delay, breath tones, and whistle tones to create angelic effects. Her multi-media, multi-cultural Peace Concerts have toured internationally and been the subject of documentaries aired in seventeen Asian countries. She led a three-year cultural exchange project with the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. Artists for a Better World honored Pamela in an international award ceremony in Hollywood for her humanitarian work as an artist. She has been the Principal Flutist of the Ocean City Pops Orchestra since 1989. She holds a Bachelor of Music Performance in Flute from The University of Michigan. Pamela is an active recording artist. She records original and world music with Rich Kurtz and guest artists from around the world. This year Pamela toured Native American reservations throughout South Dakota, performing at tribal schools in collaboration with Dakota Flutist Bryan Akipa. In 2024, she also collaborated with India’s virtuoso tabla player Samir Chatterjee in a residency throughout Cape May County. Learn more at https://pamelawhitman.com/
