Beautiful Beginnings Spring Art Retreat Day11th May 2024
10am - 4pm
Hermitage, West Berkshire
Join me for a Spring celebration at our brand new venue in Hermitage, West Berkshire.
This art retreat day will be filled with painting techniques, art from nature, florals, landscapes and much more!
The day will run as two sessions, our morning session based around getting to grips with Gouache and painting florals and botanicals, focusing on form and colour. I'll introduce some warm up techniques, mark making and recognising form, and we'll paint a beautiful botanical piece from forgaged and gathered stems.
The morning session will be followed by a light lunch, a chance to chat and share our work before we delve into the afternoon session.
Weather permitting, we'll be wandering the beautiful grounds of the studio and painting directly from nature. Using watercolour for this session, you'll produce a set of tonal studies, followed by a painting of a subject of your choosing. The studio is surrounded by gorgeous landscape and lots of nature to find, so you'll be spoilt for choice.
Lastly, we'll re-group in the studio to share our work from the day and give feedback and gather knowledge from the group.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements prior to the day and we'll ensure we cater for you. Please contact us if you have any allergies that we should know about.
You may pay a deposit to secure your space, and the remaining balance will be due 2 weeks before the retreat day. Spaces are limited to just 10 people, so do secure your booking at the earliest convenience to avoid disappointment.

Parking is free, please do double park if necessary as space is slightly limited. The studio is located at The Silver Clay Studios, The Old Telephone Exchange, Long Lane, Hermitage, Berkshire, RG18 9SQ.
Art Retreat days are suitable for over 16s only. The studio is wheelchair accessible and has a toilet and hand washing facilities.
