Introducing Beats, Brews, and Prose Open Mic Poetry Night at Eugene V. Debs Hall, organized and hosted by Dharma D×ke Entertainment! We've been doing this Open Mic for a few months now, and it's always a good time. Debs Hall is an amazing space with a well curated revolving selection of beer, cider, and wine. Also, sidenote they recently started selling locally made mead and it's lovely. As the name Beats, Brews, and Prose Open Mic Poetry Night suggests we're open to more than just poetry. You can absolutely read prose (one of the hosts Amanda is actually way more into prose than poetry), and we're not going to stop you if you bring a guitar. It's a very open-minded space, and we love experimentation. I feel pretty comfortable reading my new poetry and experimental in progress song lyrics. Also, there's no pressure to read original writing either. Our open mic is about appreciating the art form, not just reading original poetry, and we'd love to see you there, even if you're just stopping by to watch others perform and chill.
