Cherry Burton Arts are preparing for another evening of classic BEATLES and ROLLING STONES hits from two local bands that claim not to ‘look’ like their musical heroes – but to sound like them! ABBEY ROAD and STIKKYFINGERS will take to the stage at THE VILLAGE HALL, CHERRY BURTON, near Beverley on SATURDAY 15 NOVEMBER at 8pm. Abbey Road will recreate some of pop music’s finest tracks as they perform songs from the Beatles catalogue across their career span from the early hits like ‘She Loves You’ and ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand’ through to ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘Let it Be.’ The fab five are no strangers to Cherry Burton, having played at the Village Hall several times, and headlined Cherry Burton Village Show in 2024 -and are delighted to be asked back again.
Stikkyfingers have also performed many times in the village including two previous Beatles & Stones nights, and have an enviable collection of all the Rolling Stones hits from ‘Satisfaction’, ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’, ‘Honky Tonk Women’, ‘Brown Sugar’ and ‘It’s Only Rock and Roll’.
Cherry Burton Arts organiser Martin Peirson added “It’s a great night Having both these groups on the same bill, they enjoy playing those songs we all love, and it comes across naturally – there are ones to sing along with- and ones to dance to-take your pick!”
There is no bar so attenders are welcome to bring their own drinks and glasses.
