The Bear Feast Ceremony is a ceremony that honours mukwa and the cubs that are born this season. It is a ceremony about that new life that comes this time of year for mukwa and honouring their spirits. The other component of the ceremony, is to acknowledge the struggles and life experiences that we as physical beings, have endured this past year and the act of consciously letting that go, to move forward. There is two parts to the ceremony. The first part, taking place on January, where we the participants will feast the bear and begin the process of this ceremony. The second part of the ceremony will take place on the full moon, when the water starts breaking up on the lakes (TBD). It will be during this part of the ceremony that participants will let go of what has been weighing them down this past year, to start fresh for this next chapter of life. By registering you are committing to attending both parts of the ceremony. Transportation not provided. Please email [email protected] for registration.
