With their brand new offering, “Vanta”, Antwerp - based progressive hardcore outfit BEAR have strived to push the boundaries of their sound to reflect the pain, anguish & fear that we as humans endure & experience in our daily lives.
While the focus here is primarily on suffering, they were also able to tap into the beauty that can be found within that: the simple premise of no light without darkness.
While watching many of their peers hang up their instruments for good, BEAR decided to press on, enduring the pandemic, cancer, failed relationships, inner frustrations, lost loved ones, and depression, journaling every harrowing event that would ultimately lead to the creation of their newest effort; Vanta. The blackest black, the darkest of all men.
This is the sound of BEAR persevering through the darkest of times.
Unapologetic & unrelenting.

Carrion is a Ghent based modern death metal band that started in 2008. They recently released their third album "Morbid Nailgun Necropsy" on the Italian label WormHoleDeath. The new album received a lot of positive feedback, even RockTribune compared it with one of the best albums of Aborted and rated it a 9 out of 10!
Carrion has shared the stage with other death metal bands like Children Of Bodom, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Vader, Immolation, Blood Red Throne, Memoriam, Necrot, Cannabis Corpse etc.
This year Carrion has played on one of the coolest festivals in Europe... Tolminator! So if you're a fan of fast drums, heavy guitars, diverse brutal vocals... With some groovy and dark touches... Carrion is the band you're looking for!

★ Works of The Flesh ★
Works Of The Flesh is a death metal band hailing from Antwerp, Belgium.
All members have been or still are active in several other bands such as Suhrim, Marginal, Abrahamic Liars, Bütcher, Carnal Desecration, Izah, Musth, San Diablo, Black Swarm, Helldozer and many more.
After Beuk (guitar) and Jolle (bass) quit Bütcher, and Marginal also went into hiatus, the urge to play loud music quickly manifested itself again. They recruited Stevie Stardust (drums), who also was the drummer for Suhrim and Marginal, as well as Niels (guitars) and Tim (vocals).
After a few months, 8 tracks were ready to be recorded.
The recordings took place in between Covid-19 lockdowns, with Frank Rotthier behind the buttons at Trix. Mastering was done by Yarne Heylen (Carnation).
In november 2020 the album was first released on all digital platforms, and later on physical format via Genet.
