Every year, Suicide Awareness Day reminds us of the importance of connection, compassion, and open conversations surrounding mental health. On Wednesday, September 10, join us at the Maryland Heights Community Center for a special event that turns awareness into action.Beads of Hope is a drop-in bracelet-making event hosted by Social Services Coordinator Ericka Jones in honor of those we've lost to suicide and in support of survivors. Stop by the Celebration Room anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to create a bracelet that carries meaning, memories, and hope. No registration is required, and bracelet-making is optional – all are welcome! There will also be mental health resources available
All materials will be provided while supplies last, but participants are welcome to bring their own. You may take your bracelet home, or donate it to be sold for $1 at the Maryland Heights City Wide Sale on Saturday, September 13. Proceeds benefit the CHADS Coalition for Mental Health, supporting suicide prevention and education programs.
