We’re closing a chapter. This is the final event in Beacon Story Lab’s live storytelling series.Ally Karsyn started this 9 years ago. Since then, over 150 community members have shared their true stories on stage. This has always been held as a safe space to be seen, heard and CELEBRATED.
So now, we celebrate!

Join us one last time at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 16 at Design West, 1014 Design Place, in downtown Sioux City.
We welcome true stories and poetry, plus prose, show and tell, comedy, acoustic music or any other creative expression that reveals something meaningful about you. What you share can be read from a page, memorized or told like you'd tell it to a friend.
We're looking for honesty, not perfection. You can only do it right! No experience is necessary to participate.
Time slots are up to 7 minutes. Sign up at the event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Open mic starts at 7 p.m.
Admission is $10 cash at the door.

SPECIAL REQUEST: In the spirit of the event, we’ll also be celebrating my 35th birthday!
I invite you to share a poem or other written piece in my honor—something you wrote or found by another author.
Need inspiration? What’s currently bringing me joy: butterflies, the moon, rocks and crystals, the changing seasons, leaves rustling in the wind, the element of water, all things nature, dancing, movement, dark chocolate, herbal tea, and my friends.
