Are you a beach enthusiast up for a seaside adventure?
Ready to swap city streets for sandy shores on our walking tour?
Let our expert guide unveil the hidden gems and fascinating stories waiting to be told!
This tour belongs to a series of walking tours led by our knowledgeable expert, Yoav Daniel Bar-Ness from Tasmanian Geographic

Hobart is near a variety of amazing beaches framed dramatically by cliffs. We’ll explore the lovely seaside town of Kingston Beach and enjoy the seaside cliffs, forests, and waterways on the Alum Cliffs Track.

What to expect?
We'll begin at the TUSA building carpark, departing for Kingston Beach via our provided transport (taxi van)
Total walking distance is approximately 6 km. We will walk south from the main shops of Kingston Beach, over the footbridge, explore the edge of the headland, and climb up onto the Alum Cliffs Track.
The exact route can be appropriately adjusted based on your energy level and the conditions of the day (no swimming)

Itinerary:
Date: Saturday, July 27
8.30 am – Meet at TUSA building, 1 Churchill Avenue, Sandy Bay
8.45 am – Depart for Kingston Beach
11.30 am – Lunch time (BYO lunch)
1.30 pm – Finish tour
2.00 pm – Back at TUSA building carpark

What to bring:
A picnic lunch
Water
Comfortable walking shoes (no sandals and no soft shoes)
Appropriate clothing for autumn and winter weather (jacket, warm layers, ...)
Hat/beanie (optional)

Only under our UTE program, ticket is $15 for the entire experience (including fully guided interactive tour, and return transportation to Sandy Bay)
For the best experience, we can only accommodate a small group of participants. Secure your slot now!
If you have specific accessibility requirements, reach out to us at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to support your participation!
