Wales' thriving ecstatic dance community is here!

Join us to move our bodies to soul invigorating, booty shaking, heart softening music and everything inbetween to release and surrender to whatever is present in our lives. To let ourselves be free and unapologetcically ourselves through the medicine of dance.

Our full moon dances offer containers to honour the lunar cycle, to return to the rhythm of nature to connect with our wild and wonderful selves. Dancing under a full moon is a powerful practice to unearth our aliveness and to let ourselves express, let go, bring forth or alchemise what needs to be met.

🌊We invite you for an evening of freedom, nature and heart felt community connection to dance with the elements at the beautiful Oxwich Beach. Join us round the fire or for a sauna session after the dance (1 hr sauna session at Ty Sawna is £10 extra 6pm-7pm or 7pm-8pm).🪵

Our dancefloor location will be in a secret sand dune away from the crowds, with plenty of space to move with the sea, sand and sky. This dancespace is one not to be missed, a true nature immersion!

Ecstatic Dance is a free form movement practice which takes dancers through an embodied journey of inner discovery, joy and freedom. This is a self-lead and expansive space with no rules, just a few guidelines:

🌀We dance barefoot, grouning into the earth.

🌀 We dance without words, to let the body speak.

🌀 We dance without substance, no alcohol/drugs permitted. We dance on the high of our own pure energy supply.

🌀 We dance without technology, being in the present moment!

💓We start the journey with a grounding cacao ceremony to guide us back to our hearts to warm up the body and to connect to the land before we explore authentic movement and embodied freedom through moving into our own unique expression ...dance!

🎵Our live Dj will take us on a journey through a beautifully crafted, worldly & eclectic DJ set. Weaving waves of genres and energies to get our body moving and soul smiling with our immersive silent disco headsets.Ending with softness, stillness and slow integration back into our closing circle.

🎧Dj Venetia is known for setting the dance floor alight with diverse genres and styles, a winding pathway of curious and familiar sounds. The set can challenge dancers to bring the intangible, unkown and unexpected closer, while elevating them above the dancefloor, inspiring their true expression. Expect a journey of play and fullness to connect to JOY! As a graduate of the renowned Dance The Medicine school, she knows how to hold a transformative and touching dance space.

Flow of the evening:

4 pm ~ Meet at Ty Sawna at Oxwich Beach (furthest left on the beach) to walk to our secret sanddune dancefloor (15 minute walk across the beach)

4.30pm ~Arrive at Sand dune, Opening Circle & Cacao Activation

4.45 pm ~Warm Up & Ecstatic Dance

6.15 pm~ Closing Circle

7pm~ Optional 1 hour High Tide Sauna: 1st slot 7pm-8pm/ 2nd slot 8pm-9pm

We usually have a designated Photographer (who will be announced at the Opening Circle) who take a few short videos and photos at our events.
We use videos and photos to promote our events on social media to reach more and more people who need to meet the power of dance! If you don't want to be included in a video or photo, please let the Photographer or a Team Member know at the beginning of the event or if you see any footage of yourself on social media and want it removed, please message us directly (on social media or via ) and we’ll do so immediately.

❗️*If the welsh weather is not on our side, we have a delightful indoor space in Mumbles Ostreme Centre- this will be decided on the evening prior via emails and social media*
