About this Event
We are thrilled to announce the TAP808 “Be You” Youth Conference, taking place during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM) on February 8, 2025. This special event is designed to empower youth to embrace their authentic selves while learning about healthy relationships, self-respect, and the prevention of teen dating violence (TDV).
The theme “Be You” focuses on the power of individuality, encouraging participants to show up as their true selves in all aspects of life and relationships. After the isolation and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will provide a much-needed space for young people to come together, reconnect, and celebrate self-expression in a supportive environment. It will be a time to reflect on the importance of mental well-being, mutual respect, and the courage to be genuine in relationships.
Throughout the day, attendees will engage in interactive workshops, dynamic discussions, and fun activities focused on building self-confidence, identifying signs of unhealthy relationships, and learning how to support friends and peers experiencing dating violence. The conference will feature speakers, including advocates, survivors, and community leaders, sharing stories and advice on navigating relationships in today’s world.
Beyond education, the “Be You” conference is about finding a place where teens can truly belong, share their experiences, and reconnect after the disruption of recent years. This event is a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, discover personal strengths, and be part of a community that values individuality and safety.
