2HR CE; Did you know that NAR is requiring members to take a Fair Housing Course?Cost is $10 if registered before February 24; $15 thereafter.
Members must complete a Fair Housing Course every three-year cycle. The first cycle is January 1, 2025 through December 31,2027.
After taking this class students will be able to:
Define and understand the topic of Fair Housing
Describe the history of Fair Housing Laws and why they are important
Understand Florida State and County level Fair Housing Protections
Explain the Seven Protected Classes and the characteristics of each
Recognize activities prohibited under Fair Housing Laws and what actions are illegal
Understand how Fair Housing Laws affect Advertising & Marketing and describe best practices
Explain Steering and Redlining and recognize the danger in making assumptions based on stereotypes
Define and recognize explicit and implicit bias
Explain the effects of bias in Fair Housing and how to prevent it
Identify exemptions to Fair Housing Laws and adherence to Reasonable Accommodations
Know what resources are available to provide Fair Housing information to clients
