About this Event
Be Seen: The Genius and Gaze of Black Creatives is a portrait photography project documenting Black Bay Area artists and creative entrepreneurs.
Set in local outdoor and public art sites in San Francisco and Oakland, this project creates a visual narrative and living archive that claims rightful space for Black creatives in nature while representing their talents and gaze.
Be Seen participants receive royalty-free portraits to use personally and professionally. You will be part of Be Seen on social media and invited to share your story and attend a Be Seen mixer. Your portrait may be selected for the Be Seen: The Genius and Gaze of Black Creatives Gallery show.
Be Seen: The Genius and Gaze of Black Creatives is a recipient of a San Francisco Art Commission Grant.
