About this Event
Performers have two minutes maximum to share their original poem on the broad theme of ‘nature’. Contestants can speak, scream, howl, whisper or sing their original poem. There are no props, no costumes, no music: just the poet and the words. Judges are selected at random from the audience.

Contestants sign up on the night at 5.30pm. The main event gets underway at 6:00pm.
Special Guest Poet: Carissa Fischer - Carissa has been writing creatively since age 15, quickly immersing themselves within the poetry scene and officially debuting in 2019 as a feature poet at Draw Your (S)words. Since then, they have performed at the Better Together 2021 national conference, guested on the ‘Tales of Two Cities’ podcast, and featured in festivals such as Fringe and FEAST.
