Be Careful, It’s My Heart! | A Valentine’s-Themed Clip Show
Thursday, February 12 | 7:00 pm
Isn’t it romantic? Swoon to iconic stars of the silver screen in love scenes that are dreamy, dramatic, and even comical.
Film historian and musicologist Galen Wilkes will take us on a Valentine’s-themed journey into the imaginary love lives of Fred Astaire and Marjorie Reynolds in Holiday Inn (1942), Judy Garland and Van Johnson in In the Good Old Summertime (1949), and Gloria Swanson and William Holden in Sunset Boulevard (1950), among many other delicious tinsel-town twosomes spanning movies from the 1890s to the 1950s. Join us for an evening of nostalgia, love and laughter!
Program will begin at 7:00 pm; PMH Galleries will be open for viewing at 6:00 pm.
Space is limited; advance reservations required
