From Monday 3rd November to Friday 5th December, Home Instead will be collecting gift donations to wrap and distribute to lonely, isolated older people in our community who may not have any friends or family and may not be seeing or speaking to anyone this Christmas, let alone receiving any cards or gifts.We want to spread some Christmas cheer to those in need of it and let them know their community is thinking of them.
We are going to be working with local charities and community Christmas lunch projects to identify people to give the gifts to.
If you would like to donate a gift to this year’s scheme then the drop off point it at our office on Worle High Street (Number 202).
Some ideas of gifts we are looking to collect are blankets, books, boxes of biscuits or chocolates, puzzles and toiletries.
Thank you to everyone in the community who has supported this event previously, your donations really do make such a difference to the happiness of others and have always been extremely well received.
