SYNOPSIS
In this talk Dr Cook will explore sociological perspectives around computing. Having a background in education his focus will be on opportunities and experiences that have emerged so far in relation to computing and artificial intelligence and what this could mean for those in education going forward (particularly for young people). Linking these to his own research projects and research interests and work at other Universities Dr Cook will posit some scenarios that should provoke discussion or raise questions.
