We have exciting news to amplify: Byron Center Public Schools will be hosting a community forum to share details and gather input about a possible November 2025 bond proposal. Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 13 at 6 pm at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center. Here are the details from BCPS Superintendent Macina, shared March 3, 2025:
Dear Byron Center Public Schools Families,
Byron Center Public Schools is continuing to grow and thrive as a destination district that families want to be a part of. I am proud of our students, staff and the community that make Byron Center such a great place to be. BCPS is continually seeking ways of improvement to deliver high quality academics, fine arts and athletic programs.
To maintain the Byron Center standard, the district has been discussing the possibility of a November 2025 bond proposal to enhance our school and facilities. Before finalizing a recommendation to the Board of Education, BCPS is hosting a community forum on Thursday, March 13 at 6 p.m. at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center. This will be a chance for the community to hear what needs the district is facing, provide input on what issues they are seeing around the district and ask questions.
If you are not able to attend the meeting, a video will be sent out to the community detailing the presentation. In addition, the district will be sending out a survey to BCPS families, to gather feedback on what areas may be important to include in a possible bond.
Our collaborative spirit is the strength and foundation that directly impacts the success of all students. I look forward to once again working with the community to set Byron Center Public Schools up for success for many years to come.
Sincerely,
Kevin Macina, Ph. D., Superintendent
