Are you a recently trained doula who wants to gain the skills and knowledge it takes to support Birth Center Births? This Master Class is for you!
This 2.5-hour course will provide the critical details needed to be an effective doula for clients who choose low intervention birth outside of a hospital. You will learn the following:
- Assisting/Defining Low Risk Clients
- Review of The Stages of Labor
- Water Birth Support
- Nitrous Oxide as Potential Pain Relief
- Birth Center Procedures
- Birth Balls/Comfort Measures -In-Person
- Hospital Transfer Considerations/Procedures
- Immediate Postpartum Care
IN-PERSON SPACE IS LIMITED!
If you are a certified doula and /or have been practicing doula work for more than two years, this workshop is NOT for you! We respectfully ask that you please allow newer doulas the opportunity to get some hands-on training!
So please bring your training certificate to class, 2022 or more recent. (The Training Organization DOES NOT MATTER!). Upon Completion you will receive a certificate granting access to doula at BCNJ and the opportunity to mentor with the doula affiliates.
