Calling all BCBAs and BCBA students! Join us on October 9th from 8:45 AM to 12:15 PM at The Beacon Center in Las Vegas for a free and enriching Behavioral Health Workshop Series. This event is a unique opportunity to learn from top experts in the field, with discussions on critical topics such as mental health, diversity, supervision, and more.
A key session will be led by Mindy Scheithauer, PhD, BCBA-D, an Associate Professor at Emory University School of Medicine and a Program Manager at the Marcus Autism Center. Mindy will present on the assessment and treatment of elopement, a topic she has extensively researched. Her work in developing novel interventions and conducting large-scale studies on this prevalent issue makes her presentation an invaluable experience for all attendees.
The event will also feature presentations by other distinguished professionals, including Dr. Bobby Newman on mental health and suicide prevention, a panel on diversity, and insights on supervision and training by Jamie Johnson BCBA, LBA. Additionally, Victoria Beaman, M.A., BCBA, LBA will share her expertise on Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skills-Based Treatment (SBT).
