About this Event
Do you have spare love to give an animal in need? Do you miss animal companionship, but aren’t in a position to adopt right now? Are you an experienced animal guardian with skills to help an animal on their way to their forever home?
Whatever the reason you might consider fostering, we’d love to meet you. This International Volunteer Day, we’re hosting an Information Session for you to discover more about the role of Foster Volunteers at the BC SPCA.
Our foster team is made up of extremely special people ready to bring animals into their home short-term and give them the love and the treatment they need until they move into their forever home. Fosters are incredibly important to the work that we do for many reasons, and we’re extremely grateful to anyone willing to open their homes and hearts to animals in need.
This Information Session will give you an insight into fostering and an opportunity to answer any questions you might have. You’ll hear first-hand experiences from some of our Foster Volunteers and see some of the adorable animals that have been in foster throughout the year.
Please note: Fosters (or lead fosters in a family) must be 19+ years of age. We often find that under-19s can be some of the most loving members of a foster family, but a parent or guardian must be willing to undertake the journey with you and be the official legal foster.
Light refreshments will be available.
