SMOKED BBQ MEATCome along and learn the art of low and slow smoked bbq - Texas-style. You will learn how to prep meals with some students able to take part for a hands-on epxerience. The class will cover the rubbing of meats, fire management, and tips and tricks to help achieve desired results
And the best bit? You will eat everything that is cooked, including beef brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, tomakawk steaks and chicken wings, along with tortillas, bread rolls and a range of sauces and slaw.
There will be a quiz on the day, so students will need to take notes as questions will be based around what they have learnt with prizes up for grabs!
The Southern Cross bar will be open for refreshments over the day.
Introducing Karl Fisher
Karl is a Steak Cookoff Association and New Zealand BBQ Alliance award-winning bbq chef and has been running Flamin' Tomahawks BBQ since 2019 that has evolved to become the Christchurch catering company that eveyone is talking about.
