🚨 UPDATE 🚨 Due to the rain in the forecast for the morning, we will meet at Zavala’s at 10:45 am and eat first. You may park in the dirt lot in the back or the paved lot next door.—————————————————Join us Saturday to ride some miles and eat delicious barbecue! Zavala’s BBQ is considered one of the top 5 barbecue spots in DFW, with raves from Texas Monthly, Dallas Observer, and more. Bring a road, gravel, or fixed bike; it doesn't matter… just be sure to bring your appetite! We'll start at Epic Central and ride 25 miles to Zavala's to eat and enjoy FREE Lone Star beer provided by Mr. Joe Zavala. Afterward, we will ride a casual 10 miles back to the Epic Central.
Expect to end up averaging around 15 mph. Helmets are required. Packing a spare tube and essential tools is always a good idea, but have a ride-share app ready to go, as we cannot stop for mechanicals that take more than a few minutes to fix.
Everyone who joins will receive a $20 certificate to use at any local Trek store through 12/31. $5 donation to this year’s Santa Cycle Rampage Dallas is suggested but not required. Proceeds from the event, which happened last Sunday, are going to a local cyclist who was in a devastating crash in September and is suffering from traumatic brain injury.
