This is the Ornamental & Turf training provided during the Big Bend Pesticide Series.
About this Event

The Big Bend Pesticide Training Series is a week long event to provide Florida pesticide applicators an opportunity to obtain CEUs and prepare for the license exams in various FDACS license categories. The trainings are held in the mornings (except for Aquatic - Wednesday afternoon) at the UF/IFAS Leon County Extension Office. After each training session, the exam for that category will be administered. Exam takers will need to have a voucher from FDACS for each exam category they plan to take. CEUs will be provided in the following categories (other categories - LCLM, LLO - may be available pending FDACS approval):

Core - 2 CEUs (487 & 482)

Right-of-Way - 2 CEUs

O & T - 2 CEUs

Aquatic - 2 CEUs

How to Get a Voucher from FDACS:

To obtain any of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) ag/restricted-use pesticide licenses (natural areas, right-of-way, aquatic, ornamental & turf, etc.), you will need to take two exams – the CORE and the category (right-of-way, aquatic, ornamental & turf, etc.) exam. You will need a voucher number from the FDACS to take each exam.

Visit this website - https://pesticideexam.ifas.ufl.edu/ - and choose “Apply for examination”. That sends you to an FDACS page. Select the Ag/RUP/Chapter 487 license, then exam sign up (new license, add a category, etc.), then the type of applicator (private, public, or commercial applicator). After that, fill out your personal information. At the end, you will get a receipt like document with a voucher number on it. You will need to bring that document with you when time to take the exam.
