Join Balanced Breakfast for Who Wants to Date a Musician? — a flirty, low-pressure karaoke singles night for musicians and music lovers. Singing is optional, and participation is always at your comfort level. This is a music-centered social experience where connections are made through built-in icebreakers, as well as naturally, all while holding a microphone in your hand.

Tickets are intentionally structured to keep the experience fun and comfortable, with an inclusive, music-forward vibe that feels natural and unforced. Singles Tickets ($29) are for attendees who are single and open to participating in the matchmaking karaoke portion of the night. Wingperson Tickets ($19) are for friends who want to sing, hype, and enjoy the experience without participating in the dating rounds. There’s also an optional Featured Musician add-on. (+$11) This add-on gives you a built-in spotlight moment, guaranteed interaction, and a fun way to connect. Featured Singer spots are limited to just 6 attendees.
The night will feature karaoke, mingling, and relaxed social time, with an emphasis on shared experiences, scheduled duets, and natural chemistry. A limited group of six featured singers will each select a karaoke song in advance and be introduced during the event. As a featured singer, you’ll enjoy VIP-style participation, with other attendees able to sign up to perform with you based solely on your song choice and a short, anonymous description — no photos, just music and vibes.
This is the first of many events. It takes place on Valentine’s Day — Saturday, February 14, in the VIP Karaoke Room at Dragon Gate Oakland. (Jack London Square) All tickets are sold in advance, and capacity is capped; there will be no door sales. Food and drinks will be available for individual purchase throughout the night.
Whether you leave with a crush, a duet partner, or just a killer karaoke memory, you’ll be doing Valentine’s right.
