On Thursday, May 23, BAYCAT's Spring 2024 Youth Media Showcase will feature original short films and music from our introductory and advanced filmmaking, audio production, and stop-motion animation programs.
- Our filmmaking students produced the movies Skate Flips and Trapped, written by middle schoolers at the Youth Cinema Project in Los Angeles.
- Our audio production students scored the films' closing credits and practiced beat-making and sound recording on Ableton Live.
- We also brought digital media arts to the classroom by collaborating with Visitacion Valley Middle School students on stop-motion animations through our Workshop on Wheels program.
Join us as these talented young artists debut their media and share their artistic process. A Q&A and reception will follow the screening.

BAYCAT Academy's free and paid media classes offer San Francisco youth ages 11-18 the chance to explore and create digital media, from filmmaking to audio production.
