About this Event
You are warmly invited to an intimate home concert with Nikolay Sivchuk, a brilliant bayan (button accordion) virtuoso, composer, and teacher, and a leading representative of the Russian bayan school.
Born in Surgut, Russia, Nikolay Sivchuk began his musical education at an early age and quickly distinguished himself as a prodigious talent. He became a laureate of numerous prestigious international competitions and was awarded a scholarship to the renowned New Names program, supporting Russia’s most gifted young musicians. He later continued his studies at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow under the legendary professor Viacheslav Semionov.
Nikolay’s performances are known for their intensity, lyricism, and depth. Through bold interpretations of classical and contemporary repertoire, he reveals the extraordinary expressive power of the bayan—an instrument still young in the history of classical music, yet capable of remarkable emotional range. His concerts invite listeners into a focused, immersive experience where music is heard up close and without distraction.
This Valentine evening is conceived in the spirit of a traditional salon: intimate, attentive, and centered entirely on the music.
All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to the artist in support of his work.
In the spirit of community and shared hospitality, guests are warmly invited to bring a bottle of wine or a small snack to share.
