Parking info: The front lot of the facility is available for event attendee parking, with volunteers directing. Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to the limited number of spaces available.
Check-in info: All attendees will check in through Joby’s main entrance at the facility and will be required to sign an NDA prior to entering. This will also be available in advance of the event to complete online to expedite the registration process.
Hi Amazing Women in Space and Aerospace!
It's my pleasure to announce that the next Bay Area Women in Space and Aerospace (BAWISA) Happy Hour will be hosted at Joby Aviation on Tuesday, May 21!
This happy hour will feature women from Joby speaking about their career path to working in the EVTOL (electrical vertical take- off and landing) space!
Rough Agenda:
5:00-6:00pm: Welcome & Mix n Mingle
6:30-7:30pm: Announcements & Joby Panel Discussion with Q&A
7:00-7:30pm: More Mix n Mingle
Joby has graciously offered to provide light food and refreshments, so no need to bring anything!

About Joby: Joby Aviation is a California-based company developing and certifying a fully-electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft. The aircraft has a pilot onboard and can carry up to 4 passengers on flight missions up to 100 miles at a top speed of 200 mph. Joby is working with partners including Uber and Delta to bring a sustainable ride-sharing service that will improve air travel customers' overall experience. Founded in 2009, Joby has completed more than 1,000 test flights across multiple generations of full-scale prototype aircraft, totaling over 30,000 miles. The Joby aircraft has a noise profile far quieter than traditional helicopters, which has been validated with support from NASA.
Joby has established a pilot manufacturing line in Marina, CA, and delivered its first aircraft to Edwards Air Force Base to begin on-base operations as part of the company's partnership with the US Air Force. Joby also recently announced it will build a factory in Dayton, Ohio, that will produce up to 500 aircraft per year.
