About this Event
Bavarian Crochet (Wool Eater) Workshop for intermediates
If you’ve been crocheting for a while and are confident with basic crochet terminology and have completed some projects, then this workshop would be for you.
This is a technique that really is worth trying out as the beautiful texture and vibrant colour combinations created by this construction will surely impress! The circular and shell motifs form clusters to create an unusual diamond design. You could work this in one colour; however, it is a great project for ‘playing’ with colour. The way the stitches work together creates a beautiful, blended gradient or a rainbow of colour.
It's a weighty blanket, hence the nickname of Wool Easter, so is ideal for winter.
Tickets are non refundable.
This workshop is for adults age 16+.
Requirements
DK yarn works well for this project.
A 4 mm crochet hook.
This would be a great stash buster if you have lots of leftover yarns from previous projects, or you could plan a colour combination.
You could choose a small project like a scarf or scatter cushion to practice the technique or go large with a blanket.
For a small blanket/throw you could start with 12 100g balls in colours of your choice, or for a larger blanket double that.
