Friday:Join us for soulful, songful, and participatory Friday night services at 7:30 pm, following the full liturgy for Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma'ariv. We will open with some framing, and then we will dive into a full liturgy service, engaging melody, nusach, and silent prayer to hold us as we enter Shabbat. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate, regardless of background or prior experience with this kind of prayer. The only instruments we’ll be using are our voices, so come ready to sing!
Saturday:
Concert Gathering with Batya Levine (and ensemble: Rebekka Goldsmith, Will Robertson, Sarah Zaslaw, Henry Farber) 7:30pm
Join Batya Levine for an evening of harmony, rhythm, and heart-opening communal song. Through their kavanah (intention) and songful weaving, Batya invites everyone to raise their voices in this participatory concert - rooted in traditional Jewish texts and sounds, contemporary melodies, and the meditative power of the nigun - wordless spiritual song.
Sunday Workshop:
Song as a Channel for Blessing (1:30pm - 3pm)
Drawing on the concept of aliyot - being called up to bless and be blessed by the chanting of the Torah - we will interweave song with ritual in a co-created group space to call our prayers into the song, and call the song into our prayers. We will explore the concept of blessings, learn melodies, and have space to give and receive the blessing of song together.
** Please register using the ticket link above - we anticipate these events will reach capacity. **
